I really like this. I like the composition, the detail around the edges and in the clouds, and the very concept. This piece has an almost deamlike quality that makes it really appealing. Very few images that come through this not-so-sacred member gallery make me feel this way.

definitely has a dreamlike feel to it. i don't know if you needed to have so much of that blue glow on the spirit figure. otherwise it's a wonderful piece.

I really like the idea on this one - - - ofcourse, it is one often referenced in fantasy fiction, but one that never gets old (IMHO ofcourse). OK - one thing I would suggest working on is the edges of the gateway - - - - specifically the top. You've achieved a feeling of depth at the lower edges - - the top looks a tad flat. Giving it a slight sperical distortion would have helped. A really well done piece! [+7]

it looks alittle flat now.. i agree but before i had a stone spider web design on the wall...because of the lighting in the picture the top walls had to be dark ... but i agree the top could use a bit more detail... thanks for the honest review =)

There's a lot of extraneous, kind of "dead" space in this. I would recommend either enlarging the figures considerably or pulling in closer, and maybe making the clouds and mist more dynamic and rich, so they're more interesting to look at. It's a cool concept though. It looks like there's some great stuff happening with vines and things on the inside walls, but they're so dark I didn't even notice 'em at first. I also hate that yellow floor X) Pukey colour.

Good mystical atmosphere! I also think that the figures (or just the guy with wings) could be enlarge, so the composition would be more powerful.
